The cottage had a charming and old-fashioned interior, which created a cozy atmosphere. the open fire made it even more inviting. We enjoyed the pre-ordered meals, especially the venison casserole and apple pie. the tranquil location, surrounded by ancient trees and a beautiful pond, provided privacy and a peaceful ambiance. the staff, especially Marie and the bistro owners, were incredibly helpful and friendly. the cottage itself was well-equipped and comfortable. We loved exploring the estate and even spotted wild deer nearby. it was a perfect getaway.

We felt free to seek assistance, but had no complaints.

Pro: I had the most amazing stay at this adorable cottage! From the moment I arrived, the friendly staff made me feel welcome and the peaceful surroundings took my breath away. The interior decor was charmingly old-fashioned and cozy, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the garden seating allowed me to enjoy the beautiful wildlife and birdsong. The location was secluded and private, surrounded by ancient trees and a stunning pond. The staff were incredibly helpful, even offering to collect me when my car broke down. The bistro on the estate served delicious food at reasonable prices. this was the most relaxing holiday I've had and I can't wait to return!

The cottage itself was well-equipped and had a comfortable bed. We enjoyed exploring the estate and its historic ruins, and even had the pleasure of spotting wild deer nearby.

There were a few downsides to our stay at this cottage. we would have appreciated a fenced-off area around the property to allow our dogs to roam freely and to add a sense of privacy.

The friendly and helpful staff, especially Marie from the shop who went above and beyond to assist us, made our stay even more enjoyable. The well-equipped cottage, comfortable bed, and lovely walks around the estate added to the overall experience. Despite a few minor inconveniences such as intermittent WiFi and ongoing maintenance nearby, these did not dampen my enjoyment of the cottage. We had a delightful stay at Pond Cottage and fell in love with the beautiful surroundings. The cottage itself was cozy and had everything we needed for a short break. The pond was a wonderful feature, perfect for our dogs to enjoy. We also loved exploring the estate and taking peaceful walks in the quiet and serene environment. The staff at the gift shop were extremely friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to check in early. The drive to the cottage through the stunning woodland was truly breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely return to this little gem of a cottage.

One small drawback was that we would have loved to have a fenced-off area around the cottage to keep our dogs off leash and provide more privacy. Additionally, the cottage was located right by the road, which meant there were people walking past and using the pond, compromising our sense of having a private space.

The staff were incredibly helpful, especially Marie who went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The bistro served delicious food at reasonable prices, and the cottage itself was well-equipped and comfortable. The estate offered beautiful walks and we even spotted two wild deer nearby. We had so much fun exploring the estate and playing tennis and table tennis nearby. The staff were super cool and the cottage had everything we needed, including a cozy fireplace for our late-night chats. We even spotted wild deer and the pond was perfect for chillaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The only thing we wished for was more late-night activities for young party-goers. Maybe a game room or a bonfire pit to keep the vibes going.

I had the most relaxing holiday at Pond Cottage, surrounded by beautiful woods and a peaceful pond. The cottage itself was cozy and welcoming, with a lovely open fire and comfortable bed. I enjoyed sitting outside in the garden, listening to birdsong and sipping my morning tea. The estate had numerous pathways to explore, and I absolutely loved dining at the estate's Bistro, which served delicious home-produced food. I can't recommend this tranquil location enough.

The only downside was the intermittent WiFi, but it didn't bother me much as I preferred to spend my leisure time in the natural outdoors. Additionally, it would have been nice to have a fenced-off area around the house to keep off-leash dogs and the public from coming too close.
